The ship has continuously undergone a number of renovations to more modern standards, where the classic and maritime environment on board has been preserved with great respect.

Buy in Aalborg - but can be towed to a new location

A short history
On 13 June 1931, Her Royal Highness Princess Juliana of the Netherlands christened the new school ship from the "Onderwijsfonds" (Dutch maritime education organization). "Princess Juliana" was built at the shipyard "Gideon" by Mr. J. Koster Hzn. in Groningen.
On 31 December 1969, the ship was laid up, and on 10 March 1970 it was sold.
Since then, it has served as a restaurant ship. The ship's engine and propeller were later also removed to make room for a new galley and cold storage room.
In 1992, it was sold to Denmark and has functioned very well as a restaurant in the northern part of Denmark - now with a permanent berth in the center of Aalborg Harbor.
In 2006, after the current family took over the ship in the spring of 2006, the ship underwent an extensive renovation and expansion over a 10-month period from June 2006 to April 2007, and in 2011/2012 a new deck restaurant and aft restaurant were added, along with the construction of a covered aft deck.
In addition to the family's purchase price at the time, an amount of DKK 18.5 million excl. VAT was spent on the main renovation in 2006 and approx. DKK 3.2 million excl. VAT on the extensions in 2011/2012, and between 2018-2020 a further approx. DKK 2.0 million excl. VAT.
Today, the ship can only sail under tow and is registered and insured as a ship without an engine.
Here you can be sure that everything hidden behind the new walls and floors also meets the current standards, and that everything on board has always been well maintained.
